Cheap metod for washing your make-up brushes.
There's a phrase which says "Better later than never", and this applies perfectly to this blog. I opened it more than a year or two years from now, but didn't post anything at all.
Since I am a make-up brush addict (I want more and more everyday), here's a small tutorial for washing them without expending money, and making them soft and clean.
You may think "how are we supposed to do that?" or "my brushes won't work anymore!", but let me tell you that won't happen at all.
I wrote some steps with images in order that they guide you.

What you gonna need is:
Bowl, some brushes and 1/4, 1/2 and 1 tsps.

- Water
- Olive Oil
- A bowl
- Detergent for dishes
- Cloth Moisturizer
- Some tsp. measures (preferably 1/2 tsp)

STEP 01.

Soak with water your brush bristles only (like shown in the picture), and press them with your hands in slow and softly.

STEP 02.

Add 1/2 tsp of each one of the ingredients (Olive oil, soap and moisturizer). It's very important that you add the same amount of each one. If you are going to wash a bigger brush (like blush or powder brush) add 1 tsp of each ingredient. Notice that the longer you keep the brushes without being washed, the more you'll need to repeat the steps.

STEP 03.

Clean your brushes in circle motions. Try to keep the rest of the brush dry, we only want the bristles to get clean.

STEP 04.
Rinse your brushes with warm or cold water, until water gets clear. Dry with a soft towel just by pressing the bristles kindly.

LASTLY.

And that's the final result, you'll need to let your brushes dry by themselves all night in the position marked in the second picture above. DON'T LEAVE THEM vertically nor horizontally because the first one will make your bristles to open, and the second one will make the water touch the glue in your brushes and they'll detach.

Send me pictures, comments or anything if this worked for you. Feel free to post anything you want, or tips for make this tutorial even better. :)

XOXO. Laura
